I LOVE fall! It's a great time to quiet our inner critic, let out our inner child, and play in huge piles of leaves! :) It's also a really lovely time to stop and think about the past year, maybe even life in general, and see where you are at with your goals. Am I the kind of person I want to be? Am I doing the things I love? Am I maintaining meaningful relationships? Refocus the unmet goals, and celebrate the victories!
ReplyDeletecongrats!
ReplyDeleteyour blog has been such a great read. i check in daily on my little work breaks.

Thank you c:
encouraging thought: "How great is the love of the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! Thre reason the world does not knw us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is."
1 John 3:1-2

As winter is approaching, and fall is sadly leaving, I am starting to adore my knitted slippers. From the second I walk inside they're on my feet! When I was little, my parents said I scooted around in my footie pj's and that you could hear me coming from a mile away!
and.... I have a few really big things that have just happened i my life! 1. i got engaged to the coolest guy ever and 2. i got a job in paris! so I am in a very happy place and feel like i could conquer the world!

The holiday season for me is all about Summer bbq's, fresh seafood and fruit, and lazy evenings drinking into the long twilight hours :) Cannot wait!

"you came with the season as the first swallow sang
ReplyDeletea brown headed stranger with a five letter name
we planted our kisses where the wild berries grow
my feet sprouted wings and i flew all the way home
the fields where we wandered were golden

Hello friend:)
ReplyDeleteSweet November days are coloured raindrops, feeling the taste of tea curled up in my bed with a book, finishing assigments in the hope that i'm young and i have to live every moment, waiting for Christmas and ski camp, yet enjoining every single second of everyday of my life.
I am young.
I am 16.
And i love my life.
Congratulations! :) That's a huge milestone! I've been following you for a couple months now and just absolutely love your posts. I invariably feel inspired by them - especially the photos you choose to post!
ReplyDeleteI am currently addicted to the soundtrack of Glee. Their covers are just amazing :)
I love everything about winter, but I really love leaf-less tress. I live in the tropics, so the palms are green year 'round, but when I get the chance to go north, the trees are definitely one of my favorite parts.
ReplyDeleteTo me, two large, leaf-less trees next to each other look like a pair of lungs, or in the shape of an anatomical heart.
And I find it so romantic.
I love your blog! Congrats! It's a really nice giveaway, and a beautiful idea for Christmas too :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog is the epitome of how I want my blog to be :)
ReplyDeleteInspiring thought [from me]: My favorite has always been "This, too, shall pass." I think of this for every good and bad thing that happens to me. So that I won't be boastful nor sink too low in depression :)
Thank you for coming to UCSD! Although they're not always necessary in San Diego, I love winter coats and have the greatest appreciation of buttons.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 1000!
ReplyDelete"Hey, let's cross the sea
and get some culture
Red wine with every meal
and absinthe after dinner
We'd look good side by side
walking back to the hotel"
Your blog is amazing! I spent a lot of time the other day just looking through all your flickr photos and there is sooo much inspiration to take in! I love it.
ReplyDeleteRight now, these lyrics from Brit Nicole's song "Have Your Way" are really speaking to me:
"Feels like I've been here forever
Why can't You just intervene
Do you see the tears keep falling
And I'm falling apart at the seams
But You never said the road would be easy
And you never promised that this life wasn't hard
But You promised You'd take care of me
So I'll stop searching for the answers
I'll stop praying for an escape
And I'll trust You God with where I am
And believe that You will have Your way
Just have Your Way"
Congratulations! WOnderful job :)

ReplyDelete"Your righteousness, O God,
reaches the high heavens.
You who have done great things,
O God, who is like you?
You who have made me see many troubles and calamities

Big congrats to you! Something that was shared with me yesterday as a reminder was Joshua 1:9 ("Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.") As somethings are going on in my life and those I love, I am reminded that things are so much bigger than I am - and I need the reminder to not take it on all on my own!

Danni, Thank you for being such an inspiration! I look forward to reading your blog every day and am so thankful I stumbled upon it. I would like to share with you a Bible verse that has been encouraging to me in hopes that it may encourage others as well. Psalms 33:20-22 "We wait in hope for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you."

Winter is a magical time. The best part is catching my boyfriend off guard and hitting him (love tap) with a snowball. The ensuing snow fight that follows is worth watching my back all winter long for snowballs :)

my favourite thing about the holiday season is making the Christmas pudding - as we are coming into summer in Australia, this involves spending a day boiling a pudding on the stove, in what is some very warm weather! Well worth the extra heat in the house though!
