ReplyDeleteWow, I was doing a search for anonymous encouraging notes and ended up here! So, as long as I'm here I may as well throw my name in the hat. My favorite Christmas tradition is driving around to see everyone's lights and decorations. We do it every year, usually Christmas Eve or the day before.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory was sitting in the front row of our Christmas Eve church service. We were in silent prayer, and my dad's shoe squeaked and sounded like a fart. We were all trying to silently laugh, but I don't think the pastor was pleased!
ReplyDeleteI just got married in November, so my husband and I are excited to start new traditions! This year we began our tradition of going on a Christmassy date and picking out an ornament that best represents our past year. We can wait to hang all our ornaments as the years go on and remember each year of our marriage through Holiday decor!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas tradition is when me, my mom, and my dad sit in the living room and eat Chinese food. We don't give each other the traditional gifts. We tell each other what we want or need and then give it to each other without wrapping it OR we go shopping the next day with each other and pick out our gift. This is also because it's impossible to keep secrets in our family lol

ReplyDeleteSo my favorite tradition takes place on Christmas Eve: every year my friends & I meet in a pub for a few drinks (a friend is ALWAYS dressed like Santa Claus :)) and then we go to the big life-size nativity scene of our town. After visiting all the beautiful scenes of the nativity, we get together around a bonfire and chat & laugh.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday memory/tradition growing up was making holiday sugar cookies as a family. Each year we would make tons of cookies for friends and family. We would be in the kitchen for hours having fun making the cookies. My brother and I would help make the dough with our parents then we would cut out the shapes and we would all decorate the cookies before our parents placed them in the oven to bake. Then when all the baking was done we would sit at the table and have a couple of cookies though we usually had already had some before then. It was fun.
