space saver beds:

March 24, 2010

back in the day, whenever we had friends over i remember we'd pull out the good old futon. so when i came across these space saver beds from benign objects, i thought, how cool would it be to be able to just bust out one of these legit space saver beds out of the wall! the company, resource furniture, is located in new york. i like the styling of all their rooms too. a fun website to check out, lots of lovely furniture.

it's a man's apt in hong kong that uses space to the maximum efficiency! i'm talking living room to bed to kitchen all in the same physical space... and moving walls too!

  5. Thanks for the inspiration! We're downsizing so using every space properly will be critical (as will getting rid of useless "why did I keep this" stuff).

  7. I don't know... ever since someone mentioned how common it is to find spiders in a hideaway bed, it just hasn't had the same charm since. :D

  8. I think I might need something like that. But then again, I'm too lazy and the bed would probably be sitting in the same position for months, lol :)

  9. Yeah, lots of little San Francisco studio apartments have those Murphy beds that fold up into the wall. I think they're a great idea--super convenient--though I'm not sure I could trust myself to actually take the time (and strength) to put it back up in the wall everyday!!
