diy with Brittni:

January 14, 2011

Hello, hello! It's Brittni from papernstitch. I'm back this week with some more diy projects for you. And this time the theme is PAPER! I love paper projects because they are usually pretty straightforward and the supply list is is almost always made up of common household items. So, its a win-win. Let's get to it...

Add a touch of whimsy to your next party with a diy paper plane mobile. This project looks like so much fun. It would be perfect for a farewell party or a kid's bday. Get the full tutorialright here. And after you've added a playful project to your list of to-dos, try this elegant (but simple) idea from Papermode: custom matchbooks. So cool.

It's difficult to resist a good envelope tutorial, at least for me. And this combination ofgeometric flowers and graph paper from The Pink Couch is a diy home run. Quick, easy, awesome! Can't ask for much more than that. And speaking on envelopes, I just found this idea (from none other than Martha herself) for using envelopes as a pocket for your notebooks. What a great idea! I am totally doing this one.

And if you have something to celebrate (a birthday, anniversary, wedding, etc), why not make these crepe paper candy poppers from Posh Paperie. The full step-by-step is available right here.

That's it for this week's diy roundup. Hope you'll join me next week for another dose of diy.
