happy friday:

July 12, 2013

Thought I'd post a few shots of what's going on in my office - a mess! ;) Still need to do a lot of organizing and possibly a lot of purging. We went to a cute shop the other day and my mom commented, "I don't need any dust collectors" hehe. As I was unpacking some of these things, I thought, "man, all this stuff are dust collector items like mom said!" but it's so hard - I guess I love dust collectors! My weakness is vintage office supplies. Old papers, cards, notepads, labels, stamps. Pretty much any vintage office supplies I come across are an immediate buy. Do you have any weaknesses like that? :)

How was your week? This weekend Nick and I will be at Unique Santa Monica. Hope you can stop by if you're local. Have a happy weekend friends!

  5. I love vintage pillow cases and sheets!!! This morning my husband said, "no more"....since he was having a hard time closing the linen closet. I just laughed because he knows I can't say no to a cheery pillow case.

I love your vintage collections so I guess I'm an enabler!!!

  8. Oh you just made my day! I was just telling my friend who stopped by yesterday how much of a mess my place is right now! Starting many projects at once from sewing to video editing to refurbishing furniture and on top of that I am the biggest dust collector! I sometimes wish I was a control-cleaning-freak. But I'm not. The only thing that might help me in the near future is that little baby expected to come into our lives within 7 weeks now. I won't have time for huge cleaning sessions so I know I'll just have to keep things under control on an every day bases...hmmmm let's see how this goes! Anyways, thanks for sharing your mess. Makes me feel a bit better about my own. Weird I know!

  11. My grandmother calls little knick-knacks dust-collectors, too. I used to have a ton and pick them up constantly--stationery, little statuettes, and so on--but eventually taught myself to stop. I did a spending freeze and broke the habit. I still pick up little things every now and then, but only when I really, truly want them AND know where I'll put them. Living in a one-bedroom apartment helps my self-control. :)

  12. Hi Danni!

Been following your blog for about a year now, and I love what you've done w/ your new place! I was curious about how you decorated your bathroom, since I've found it kind of tricky to put cute things in there at the risk of them being affected by moisture. I bought a few prints a few months ago, and framed them...I was going to put them in my bf's bathroom but he said he didn't want them to get ruined. Any advice? I'd love to see yours!

    Thanks :)
