flower fields:

June 20, 2012

When I saw Lillian's post about the Carlsbad flower fields, I wanted go check it out right away - I had never even known about this place before! So when I was down in San Diego for business, we stayed an extra night and stopped here on the way back up. It was endless rows of flowers - so lovely. and so cool to discover new places + sights to see through other blogger friends! Nick & I are always looking for fun date things to do together, this was great & perfect for pictures too. The fields are closed now but mark your calendars for next year when they reopen. What sort of places have you been going to lately for dates?

Limited number of sign ups are open to hurry to the comment form to sign up! update sign ups are now closed, thanks for participating! :)

Swap Partners: You'll receive 1 swap partner, so we can focus on putting lots and lots of effort into our lovely packages!

This amount can include packaging for your gifts as well, but please don't spend $20 on packaging and only send a $10 gift. If you own a shop, please don't send only items from your shop to promote your own shop.

Overseas: The trade is open to friends in other countries! Please note that Canada + US will be counted together so US residents may receive a partner in Canada. All other countries will be paired with each other. There is no option to send or receive from overseas.

Interests: The form includes all necessary information so please fill it out thoroughly :) Be sure to include any favorite links, etsy shops, etc so you can give your partner an idea of the things you like.

happy friday:

June 15, 2012

Pictured above: packaging, vintage watch collection, hammock at the camp, getting thrifty ice cream with my grandma (i remember when it was like, $.89 a scoop!), vintage map bag - fave recent find, one of the rooms in our new house!)

Happy Friday!! Can't really believe we're half way through the year but whatever... What else is new besides time passing right before our eyes? ;) Here are some pictures from my instagram feed. I'll try not to fill too many Happy Friday posts with instagram pics but I really do love instagram. Am I addicted if it's the first thing I check in the morning on my phone? Maybe. Anyway! This weekend is my Grandfather's memorial service and Nick's family is in town because his little brother graduated from boot camp! legit. He's a marine now. So this weekend is full of family and I couldn't be more happy about that. Are you spending this weekend with your dad? Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and a very special Happy Father's day to all the dads out there. We love our dads.

keyword / constellation:

June 14, 2012

Simple and glorious moments for me come when I just stare up in the night sky at all the stars, admiring creation. I don't see a whole lot of stars in OC (probably b/c of all the smog ;) but I'll always remember driving through Texas and being mesmerized by the star-filled sky. It is awe-inspiring. To me, it reminds me of a creator and how He commands the stars & the sky. So beautiful. Anyway, today's keyword is constellation! I love all these wonderful star-inspired pieces. Hope you enjoy them too friends :)
