Favorite Thursday:

Taken from foundpaperco's favorite post, I thought I'd do a little 'favorite' giveaway, because I really loved this idea. So, here are a few favorite things that make me smile:

So based on my favorite lists, for today's giveaway: I am giving away several items from my favorites list to share with you. Are you wondering what they are? Well, I would make it a surprise but I will just tell you instead ;) I will be sending:

- a roll of pretty lace tape.

- a lovely find from the thrift store.

- a couple letterpress cards from my collection.

- some lovely mini photo prints from ez at creature comforts.

- bar of applemint soap.

- a rubber date stamp.

- special note: remember this book i made for nicholas? i'm including a small book of notes with some small surprises! or you can request it blank and fill it out to give it to a friend!

    If I were stuck on an island, i would want...either watercolors or a really big sarong - keep the heat out, stay fashionable and un-sunburt, and use it as a sail! :)

  7. I'd take out an old dictionary from the library with me. The smell of old books is something I adore and I love type and words. I could learn something new everyday and if I were rescued, I'd be pretty articulate ;)

    To answer: I would hope to have my lipgloss...I go cuckoo without anything on my lips! Other than that, I'm pretty good with entertaining myself. I could build sand castles, collect shells, try my hand at weaving coconut tree leaves, build a fire like I've seen on Man vs Wild, I'd sing super loud (no one around), crack a coconut...haha, told ya I could entertain myself.

    If I were stuck on a deserted island, I'd hopefully have an instruction manual about how to get off the island.

    Otherwise, since I'm working on my dissertation, I would just want a solar-powered, water-and-sand proof computer with all of my books digitally stored on it so that I could just get it over with already and write it! What concentration!

  136. If I were stuck on a desert island I would definitely want my laptop with me (preferably with internet access). Even if I couldn't get internet, though, all my music and pictures are on there, plus I could write down my thoughts/experiences or even record myself on my laptop's webcam. :)

  175. If I were stuck on an island, I would definitely have to pack some sort of sunscreen/lip balm hybrid multi-use product. But since I know of none out right now, it would have to be a sleeping bag. If I'm going to be there for a while, I might as well be somewhat comfortable! I could use it for shelter, burn the stuffing inside, rip it up for clothing, etc.

  177. there are so so many things I would want with me on a desert island. but rather than list something practical, like water and sunblock, I am going to say I would want to have a towering stack of magazines! what's better than flipping through the pages of a glossy magazine while lying on the beach?! it would be perfect because lately I feel like I am too busy to sit down and actually read all the magazines I subscribe to or feel compelled to buy while in line at the grocery store... :) p.s. that package is so adorable, I hope I win! hehe
