hello diy / glitter buttons:

April 4, 2012

For this week's DIY, we're making super simple glitter buttons!

Supplies:

Craft Paint
Wood Circle Discs
Double Sided Tape
Optional: Glue Dots
Glue
Pin back bar pins
Glitter
Paint Brush
Scissors

(I got all these supplies at Michaels craft store)

First paint your discs with whatever color you'd like your button to be.

Once dry, take your double sided tape and place various designs over your button - you can do stripes, cut various shapes or even use glue dots for a polka dot pattern.

Pour glitter over tape and shake off.

Lastly glue your pins to the back and you're all done!

27 hello's:

  1. Gorgeous and fun! The double sided tape and glue dots is brilliant! It'd be fun to do this as a craft activity at a shower or birthday party. I'm glad you mentioned Gorilla glue, because I bought some "zoop" I think it's called, and it does not work very well.

  3. How fun! I JUST bought a dress and thought, "This needs a broach." But a button like this would be way more awesome.

  5. These are so adorable! I think they would also be perfect with monograms or alphabets! How adorable would a row of glitter alphabet buttons be on a tote?? Great adaptable idea :)
