Happy Friday:

I love rubber stamps! Here are a few new designs we'll have available at our upcoming craft shows. Be sure to check our holiday show schedule! This holiday we'll be in Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Los Angeles, & San Francisco! Hope you can come by to visit one of them. I love this time of  year!

What are you up to this weekend? Nothing exciting over here - we're just working as usual. Have a lot of work to do to prep for craft shows - it is quite a task to prepare enough inventory and everything :) Hope you have a lovely weekend, thanks for reading OHF this week. xo.

I thought it was about time to share some images of my latest shop packaging. The items I use are really just some basic supplies: stamps, kraft bags, shipping tags, vellum bags, and twine.

I have a couple different items I use to package items like kraft bags, cotton bags, and pocket envelopes. They're all just so fun, I keep them all near.

Photobucket
Photobucket
The actual item itself usually goes into a stamped pocket envelope, a vellum bag with a label, or a small jewelry box, which is not shown here but I've blogged about the boxes before here.

Once all the items are carefully packaged up, they get tied with lace or twine & a special wood tag, just like the ones I used for our wedding invites. They're so fun!

I truly enjoy packaging, what about you?

ps: if you are interested in a custom rubber stamp
for yourself, contact me for pricing!

To be honest, I'm not wearing much jewelry these days. I figure because I have SO much of it, I just don't know what to wear! I am currently obsessed with searching for unique finds to make into necklaces, rings, earrings, whatever!

This new collection brings lots of my new favorite things: monocles, clocks, and a calendar too! I think these are pretty unique. I'll be adding them to the etsy shop soon, just thought I'd post a preview. Thanks for all your support, friends. :)

shop image styling:
flea market style.

Photobucket
so i switched up my shop photographs in a recent shop update,
using a few items from the flea market i went to a few weeks ago.

Photobucket
picked up this scale at the market, used it as a business
card holder at the craft show and used it in these pics.
multi-use, it's awesome! ;)

Photobucket
Photobucket
i found some of these bottles at the flea market for .50 cents.
thought it'd be nice to use for product images.
i also plan to use them for some other diy projects, stay tuned.

shop packaging:

July 24, 2009

so i did a post about my shop packaging a little while ago. i really did love those airmail envelopes. but then i got some vellum envelopes and decided to switch it up. so items either get placed in the kraft boxes tied with lace + baker's twine, or into the golden manila envelopes, which are then placed into the vellum bags with an 'oh, hello friend.' label.

the brown kraft bags are hand screen printed with my gocco machine. and unfortunately i made the photos too light, but there is a package with hair pins in them that is sewn closed with a piece of lace trim. i will take better pictures another time to show you. but i really do love that packaging.

you can see a couple more images in my flickr album.
i love packaging, don't you? :)
